Watched a 14 year old at the library in Dayton debug his own Python script, and man things are different now
Stopped by the downtown library in Dayton last weekend and sat near the teen computer area, where this kid spent about 40 minutes working through a broken loop in his Python script with nothing but a browser and a free tutorial. Back when I first messed with code, my only option was a $60 textbook from the community college bookstore and a lot of guessing. Do beginners today actually learn faster with all these free tools, or does the endless choice just make it harder to start?
