I messed up my grind size again and my coffee is awful. How do you avoid this?

Yeah, that "awful coffee" moment is the worst. I started taking a quick phone pic of the grinder when I get it right (saves the guesswork later).

Oh man that's so smart. I've definitely ruined a whole bag of beans trying to find the sweet spot again. Taking a picture is such a simple fix.

Honestly, I just use a little piece of masking tape on the grinder body. I make a tiny mark with a pen at the perfect spot for each of my main brew methods. It sounds low tech, but after you waste a few expensive cups dialing it in, you'll try anything. The picture idea is good too, but my phone is always full. This way the setting is right there on the machine, no digging for photos.
