Rant: My local shop ran out of my usual Ethiopian beans for a week straight
I had to try three different blends from them, and the last one tasted like burnt cardboard. What's your go-to backup bean when your favorite is gone?

Burnt cardboard is a bummer, but it's just coffee. The shop will get your beans back in stock eventually. I usually grab whatever medium roast they have left and call it a day. Making a big deal over a temporary shortage seems a bit much.

Yeah, it's just coffee, but man, that morning routine matters. Starting the day with a bad cup can really throw you off. I get just grabbing whatever's there to get by, but it's okay to miss your usual stuff. Hoping they restock soon for you.

Honestly, I used to be right there with you, thinking it was just coffee and to grab any old thing. But a couple years back I had a really stressful job, and that one good cup in the morning was the only quiet, normal thing I could count on. When my usual stuff was gone, it felt like the day started on the back foot. It sounds silly, but that little ritual is a real anchor. Now I totally get why a bad cup or a missing favorite can throw off your whole vibe.
