Switching to a sealed jar for coffee beans was key
I used to leave coffee beans in the bag. They would lose flavor quickly. I got a sealed jar for the counter. Now the beans stay fresh longer. My coffee tastes richer and smells great. It showed me how proper storage matters. I enjoy each cup more now.

Airtight tins are a game-changer, right?

Honestly, that whole airtight thing seems overblown. Fresh beans are gonna go stale in like a week or two anyway, tin or no tin. Most people go through a bag fast enough that it just doesn't matter. Feels like one of those coffee snob things people fixate on. My beans sit in the bag on the counter and my morning cup still tastes just fine.

Totally agree, keeping beans in the bag is a sure way to ruin them. I learned the hard way when my coffee started tasting flat after a few days. Graya28's buddy has the right idea, once you go airtight you notice the difference immediately. Just make sure the lid seals tight, not some cheap container that lets air in. Now every cup actually has that rich smell and taste I paid for.

lol my buddy had the same problem. he kept his beans in the cabinet and they tasted like nothing. then he got one of those airtight tins and now he won't shut up about how good his coffee is.
