Dropped $60 on a slab of 'key' back issues at a garage sale in Tucson and only 2 were worth anything
So there was this garage sale down the street from my shop last Saturday and the guy had three long boxes marked $60 for the whole lot. I flipped through fast, saw a few covers that looked old, and handed over the cash thinking I found a steal. Got home and looked them up, and most were reprints from the 90s that sell for like a buck each. The two worth keeping were a beat up X-Men and a Daredevil I already own, so basically I paid $60 for doubles. My wife asked why I didn't just check the indicia before buying and honestly I have no answer for her. Anyone got a rule for garage sale boxes, like a max price per book or do you just walk away when the seller won't let you pull singles?
