Got roasted at a Phoenix con panel for saying digital is ruining comics, and I still think I was right
I said it during a panel at Phoenix Fan Fusion in May, in front of maybe 200 people, that reading comics on a screen kills the way your eye moves across a page. A guy in the third row stood up and pulled out his tablet with 400 issues on it and asked me how many long boxes I have. I said 31. He said he sold his and bought a house. The room laughed, I sat there red faced, and I have thought about it every week since. Here is my thing though, I still think the floppy teaches pacing in a way swiping never will, and no panel crowd is changing that. Anyone here actually switched to digital and found a story that reads better that way?
