Hit 1,000 issues in my collection last week and didn't even notice till I counted
So I was just reorganizing my long boxes after picking up a few back issues from a local shop in Portland. I figured I had a decent stack but decided to actually tally everything for the first time in years. Turns out I crossed the 1,000 mark somewhere around issue 45 of a run I bought last month. It was wild because I never set out to hit a number, I just bought stuff I wanted to read. The milestone made me realize how much random junk I've actually held onto too. Like there's a whole box of 90s Image comics that I'll probably never touch again. Has anyone else hit a surprise number in their collection and felt weird about it?

Changed my mind about that @ben_fisher, used to think milestones didn't matter but it hit different.

Dude, that's a trip! 1,000 is no joke, especially when you didn't even plan for it. But that box of 90s Image stuff you mentioned - are you gonna actually sit down and read any of it, or is it just taking up space because you can't bring yourself to dump a bunch of 6 cent books? I've got a short box of late 90s Valiant comics I keep telling myself I'll revisit, but I know I'm lying.

it hit different" - yeah I totally get that feeling. I hit 500 comics without meaning to a couple years back and it just felt so random but satisfying at the same time. That box of 90s Image stuff is probably going to sit there forever honestly, I keep telling myself I'll sell it but then I get lazy and just shove it back in the closet.
