I was wrong about the new Spider-Man run at my local shop in Austin
Everyone at the shop was hyped for the new Zeb Wells Amazing Spider-Man run, saying it was a bold new direction. I thought it was just going to be more shock value stuff that didn't respect the character. But after reading the first 10 issues, I have to admit the character work on Peter's guilt and the fallout from his actions is actually pretty solid. Has anyone else come around on a run they were totally against at first?

You said it feels like cheap shock value. What exactly is the cheap part? Is it the stuff with MJ and Paul, or is it something about how Peter's guilt is written?

What changed your mind on it? I'm still not sold, feels like they're just making Peter miserable for no good reason.
