Just realized a weird way to get my kid to read comics

My 8 year old refused to touch my old Spider-Man issues, saying they were boring. I tried reading them to him using different voices for each character, like a cartoon, and now he asks for a 'comic show' every night. What's the silliest thing you've done to get someone into the hobby?

lol that's genius. I did voices for my little cousin too, but for old X-Men books. Made Wolverine sound like a grumpy old man and she lost it.

I once acted out a whole fight scene from a Batman comic for my nephew, complete with sound effects. I tripped over the coffee table and knocked a lamp over. He loved it, but my dignity took a real hit that day.
