Blew $400 on a scuba harness that kept riding up, a $40 crotch strap fixed it
Picked up a padded harness setup before a job at the Port of Long Beach and it slid up around my neck the whole first dive. My tender laughed and handed me a plain nylon crotch strap he keeps in his bag, took me two minutes to rig it under the plate. That cheap strap locked everything down and I stopped fighting the rig on every descent. The $400 kit is sitting in my locker collecting dust while the strap rides in my save-a-dive kit now. Anybody else got a small fix that beat out the gear you paid good money for?

A crotch strap isn't rocket science, you just overpaid for the fancy version first.
