I bought a cheap dive light for a salvage job and it cost me a full day
Spent $80 on a 'heavy duty' light from a general hardware site for a week long job in Lake Michigan. It flooded at 90 feet on the second day. Had to surface, get a replacement from town, and redo the whole dive. Lost about $1200 in pay for that day. Should have just rented a proper light from the dive shop for $150 for the week. What's the most reliable light you guys use for deep, dark water?

My old Light Monkey 21W LED has been through hell for eight years now. That thing is a brick, never had a single flood. Worth every penny of the upfront cost.

Damn, eight years is solid. Ever had to replace the battery or was it just plug and play the whole time?

That "plug and play" reliability @matthew_west mentioned is the real hidden cost savings, isn't it?
