I finally had to pick between a $1500 Kirby Morgan hat light and a $900 generic one for a murky harbor job in Seattle last month.

I went with the generic light to save cash, but its beam was too narrow for the silt and I ended up working mostly by feel, so what's a better mid-range option for low-vis inspections?

Man, I feel that. What finally clicked for me was just picking one small thing to fix first. @gray314, I spent a whole weekend staring at a broken sink, totally lost. I found a single video for my exact model and just focused on that one step. Once I got that first piece off, the rest made more sense. Trying to understand the whole project at once is what makes you feel blind.

Working blind" is how you actually learn the whole system.
