Lost a full day's pay on a cheap dive knife from Harbor Marine
I mean, I bought this $40 knife thinking it was a good deal, but the blade snapped clean off trying to cut a simple line on a job in Tampa Bay. Idk, maybe it's just me but that cost me a whole shift's pay, around $500, because I had to surface and get a new tool. Anyone else have a go-to brand that won't fail like that?

Check out Benchmade or Spyderco. Their dive knives are pricey but they'll last forever.

@emma_lee22 I've had better luck with cheaper dive knives, honestly.

Dude @wyattramirez is right, it's always like the universe picks the worst second for a tool to die. Had a cheap knife fold up on me trying to cut a rope on a lift bag once, cost me an hour of bottom time and a headache. That $40 gamble just isn't worth it when a good one saves your whole day.

Yeah, that's the worst. I've had cheap blades snap on me too, and it always happens at the worst possible time.
