Warning: I was tying off my umbilical wrong for 6 years until a guy in Morgan City pointed at my carabiner
He asked why my slack loop was on the downstream side of the clip, and I didn't have an answer besides habit. Ran it the way he showed me on a 140 foot job in 60 feet of muddy water and the difference in drag was obvious. Anyone else get taught the loop position one way and switch later?
