Had a user bring in a PC that smelled like burnt sugar and was full of ants.
Turns out they kept it on the floor next to their kitchen counter. What's the weirdest thing you've found inside a machine?

Burnt sugar ants is a new one. Found a whole mouse nest built from shredded receipts once.

That "shredded receipts" detail really got me thinking. Like, imagine the effort that mouse put into finding every single receipt from your wallet or trash can. It probably thought it was building a really secure nest with all that carbon copy paper and ink. Makes me wonder if the mouse was trying to keep its own little tax records or something, since receipts are basically proof of purchase for tiny critters too. But the real question is, did the mouse actually use the receipts for insulation, or was it just hoarding them because they smelled like food from the store? Either way, that's a level of organization I can't even match with my own filing system.

Oh wow, that's actually a shrew nest! Mice use softer stuff like paper or fluff.
