Question about the retired tech in Reno who told me he stopped keeping spare parts on his truck
Sat with a retired repair guy in Reno last month while I was swapping a drive in his old shop. He mentioned he cleared 3 bins of spare PSUs and RAM sticks off his truck and just started keeping a credit card and a hotspot. Said he loses 2 hours a week driving back for parts he already has anyway. Made me think about how my whole trunk setup is built around fear of a second trip. Curious if anyone else has gone lean on purpose, what did you keep and what did you finally ditch?

That "loses 2 hours a week" thing only holds if the parts you drive back for are actually there.
