Unpopular opinion: The 'just reimage it' fix has gotten way too common over the last five years.
I used to spend hours on real diagnostics, but now half my tickets get a fresh Windows install as the first step. Are we getting lazy or is this just the new normal for speed?

Yeah the "burning down the house" thing is spot on. I mean, it's a time thing for sure, but it feels like we're losing the skill. I've started forcing myself to check a few key logs or run a quick scan first, just to keep in practice. Idk, maybe it's just me but giving up on finding the real cause feels like a bad habit.

Honestly feels like we're just giving up on the whole idea of fixing computers. Why bother learning what's wrong when you can just nuke the whole thing from orbit? It's the tech support version of burning down the house to kill a spider. Sure it's fast, but it's also kind of sad.
