Appreciation post: the $12 concrete edger that fixed my curly edges overnight

Switched from a worn-out 6-inch to a brand new 4-inch radius edger and my curbs went from wavy garbage to crisp lines in one 8-hour pour, anyone else notice a huge difference with a fresh blade?

Bought a cheap edger once and it chipped on the second curb.

Used to be one of those "get what you pay for" skeptics (figured it was just people being snobs). Then I grabbed a no-name edger at a flea market for ten bucks, looked decent enough honestly. First pass on some old Bermuda grass and the blade literally flew off, nearly took out my neighbor's tomato plant. Spent the next hour digging the chunk out of the dirt, which was way more work than just spending the extra twenty dollars. Definitely a hard lesson in not being cheap about things that spin at high speeds.
