Blew out a 4 inch control joint on a driveway pour Tuesday
Was running my jointing tool across a fresh slab and the edge just let go about 3 feet in. Had to stop everything, grab a trowel and patch it before it set too much. Customer was watching from the window too, made it worse. Anybody had a slab pop like that mid pour? What did you do?

My buddy Dave had something similar happen on a job last summer. He was running the jointer and a 2 foot chunk just popped out like a puzzle piece. He had to quickly mix up a little cold patch and trowel it in before the customer noticed.
