Just found out my 'secret' concrete mix trick was making things way harder
I'd been adding an extra half bag of sand to every yard for years thinking it gave a better finish, but a guy on a job in Boise saw me and just said 'you know that's why your stuff sets up so fast, right?' I felt like a total clown lol. Anyone else have a dumb habit they didn't realize was wrong?

Remember trying to fix a squeaky floor by nailing it down every six inches. My boss finally asked if I was trying to build a boat. Turns out the subfloor was just loose from the joists, and adhesive was the real fix. Felt like I used a sledgehammer to hang a picture. Sometimes you just get a idea stuck in your head and run with it.
