My $200 power trowel blade set that lasted 2 days

Bought those cheap blades from a surplus place in Tulsa thinking I scored a deal, they chipped on the third slab and I had to toss them. Anyone else get burned by off-brand trowel blades?

... a buddy of mine out in Oklahoma tried those same blades and said they looked good in the box but started falling apart halfway through a big garage floor job. He ended up having to send the whole set back and eat the shipping cost. Pretty much learned the hard way that you really do get what you pay for with trowel blades.

Ha, that's just classic "looks good in the box" syndrome. Bet it looked REAL pretty right up until it started shedding like a dog in summer.

Oh man, same thing happened to me with a set of tile nippers. Useless after two cuts.
