Remember when everyone said those new plastic concrete stamps were junk?

I bought a set for a patio job in Eugene about five years back, thinking they'd crack after one use. They held up through that whole pour and four more jobs after, and the texture came out just as clean as the old metal ones. Anyone still using the metal stamps or have you all switched over too?

My buddy swore by his old metal stamps for years. Then his whole set got stolen off a job site in Portland. He grabbed some plastic ones just to finish the pour. Said he was shocked how crisp the slate pattern turned out, and now he won't shut up about how light they are.

Switched to plastic years ago and never looked back. My back thanks me every time I don't have to haul those heavy metal beasts out of the truck. The only thing that cracks now is my wallet from buying more patterns.

Totally get that. I switched my whole crew over and the difference in speed is crazy. What patterns did you end up liking?
