Spent $180 on a power trowel helicopter blade and wish I hadn't

Picked up one of those cheaper composite helicopter blades for my 36 inch trowel off Amazon. Figured it would save me some cash compared to the $300 steel ones the supply house sells. First pour it did okay, but by the third slab the leading edge was chipped up pretty bad. Ended up having to finish that last job by hand because it was leaving drag marks. Had to eat the cost and buy the steel blade anyway, so now I'm out $180 plus the hassle. Anyone else had bad luck with those composite blades or did I just get a lemon?

@johnson.eva what exactly makes them junk in your experience?

Heard a buddy say the cheap composites are fine for smooth floors but can't handle rough screed jobs. Sounds like you found out the hard way.
