Just noticed something weird about the Denver Airport murals
I was watching a documentary about the Denver Airport last night and saw those creepy murals in the baggage claim area. The one that got me is the panel with the children holding hands in a circle and there's a lion staring at a dead bird. Looked it up and found out the artist Leo Tanguma painted them back in 1993 but won't talk about the meaning. Has anyone else stood there staring at those things and felt like something is off?

Ever see how the lion's eyes follow you @oliviabutler? That's what changed my mind on these murals.

Has anyone actually talked to Tanguma or are we just assuming he's being mysterious because he's an artist who doesn't want to explain his work? Those murals are unsettling, sure, but that's probably the point given they're about war and human suffering.
