My whole theory about the Denver airport murals fell apart last Tuesday when I found a 1994 newspaper clipping in my dad's old stuff.
The article quoted the artist saying the blue horse was just about Colorado's wild spirit, which kinda wrecked my idea that it was some New World Order symbol, so has anyone else had a solid conspiracy theory get totally debunked by a simple historical fact?

That's why I never read the artist statements...

I mean, sometimes they're just full of nonsense words. But is it really that bad to take a minute and see what the artist was going for? Maybe they actually have a point buried in there. What's the worst that happens, you waste 30 seconds?

Look, I get where finleym37 is coming from, but skipping the statement is like ignoring the recipe and just eating the cake. You miss the point. A lot of that "nonsense" is someone trying to explain a real feeling or idea they couldn't just show. It's lazy to dismiss it all without even trying. Sometimes the weird words are just a bad wrapper for a simple, good thought. Giving it that 30 seconds can totally change how you see the work.
