Overheard a guy at the truck stop say the government has been hiding free energy since the 1950s

I was grabbing coffee at a Pilot in Flagstaff, Arizona last Tuesday and this older dude next to me starts telling his buddy about how Nikola Tesla had a working wireless power system that could have given everyone free electricity. He mentioned something about the Wardenclyffe Tower being shut down by JP Morgan because it threatened their profits. Got me thinking, if they buried that tech back then, what else are they sitting on that we're supposed to never know about? Has anyone ever dug up actual documents on this or is it all just stories passed around?

Didn't someone find declassified FBI files about Tesla's death that had all his papers confiscated?

Didn't someone find" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there. I've seen those claims float around but last I checked it was just some old articles and not really a big conspiracy. Probably just the government holding onto stuff they didn't want lost, not like they were hiding some secret about his death.
