Picked the $40 Chinese scope over the $300 name brand, now I'm not sure I was right
Fine, but has anyone else dealt with the regret of cheaping out on optics specifically, or is it just me?

Three years ago I bought a $20 scope off Amazon and it held zero for two seasons until a deer walked under my stand and I swear it fogged up just to mess with me. Now I keep it in my truck as a reminder that sometimes cheap gear just wants to embarrass you, not help you.
