Spent $400 on a night vision scope for 'bird watching' - yeah right
I dropped $400 on a Gen 1 night vision monocular last month, telling myself it was for watching owls (which, okay, partially true). But really I wanted to see if my neighbor was sneaking around my shed at night, which he totally was. Got a clear look at him prying the padlock at 2 AM, called the cops, and he got busted. So the thing paid for itself in one night, honestly. Anyone else bought a gadget for a cover story that actually worked out better than expected?

Did you at least offer to split the reward money with the owl you were supposedly watching? Ngl that's the best ROI I've ever heard for a $400 scope.

@gracej99 already called the price correction, but the ROI question still stands. So did you cut the owl in for a finders fee, or was it strictly a paid surveillance gig?

Scope was $300, not $400. Good return either way though.
