The moment I realized the 'deep state' was just corporate lobbies, not secret committees

3 years ago I was deep into the shadow government rabbit hole, tracking claims about Bilderberg and secret councils. Then I sat through a city council hearing in Reno where a utility rep literally rewrote a water safety rule in front of everyone, no black suits needed. Since then I check campaign donations before any 'hidden agenda' story, and it explains way more. Has anyone else had that flip where the boring explanation just hits harder than the wild one?
