Took a bet on a weird moon landing doc my buddy sent me

He swore it would change my mind, so I watched the whole 2 hour thing. It was full of old photos and shaky film clips. Expected to laugh, but a few points about the flag moving got me looking. Spent a weekend digging into NASA's own archives, not the conspiracy sites. Found their technical bulletins from 1969 explaining the motion. Actually learned more real history trying to debunk it. Anyone else have a theory that fell apart when you checked the primary sources?

Totally get that feeling. Went down a similar rabbit hole with the "vanishing stars" thing in old Apollo photos. Pulled up the original mission transcripts and realized the cameras just had a tiny field of view, so stars were too dim to show up. The real technical docs always have the answer, but you gotta dig past the YouTube edits. It's weirdly satisfying when your own research shuts down the mystery.

So you actually read the mission transcripts? Where did you even find those, lol.

Did that with the pyramids, @wendyd26. The real reports are wild.

Honestly I get what mason273 is saying but sometimes the docs just make it weirder. WendyD26, some of those Apollo transcripts have the crew talking about stuff that never got explained.
