Unpopular opinion: I spent 3 years debunking flat earth posts before I realized I was the problem
Every single time one of those posts popped up in my feed I'd jump in with links and diagrams and get nowhere. Sometimes 40 comments deep at 1am. What tipped me off was a guy I'd been arguing with for a month in a thread about the Denver airport murals. He said "you're the reason I keep posting this stuff." I sat there for a minute and it hit me. I was giving him the fight he wanted. Now I just ask one question and leave. Less fun maybe, but I sleep better. Has anyone else found a way to actually talk to people about this stuff without it turning into a 40 comment war?
