Why does nobody talk about the landfill secret behind electric car batteries? | Conspiracy Debates - Freelance Forum - The Community for Independent Professionals
Remember my friend's dad had an old hybrid, and when the battery died the dealership just said it gets shipped out. He tried to ask where, but they got all vague about "responsible partners" overseas. Later we saw a documentary showing kids picking through battery waste dumps, and he got real quiet. I mean they sell you this clean future thing but don't own the dirty end of it. That stuck with me.
Isn't it kinda missing the bigger picture though? Old battery waste is an issue but recycling tech is getting way better. New facilities can pull out most metals for reuse. Electric vehicles still reduce air pollution a lot compared to gas. The industry is working on cleaning up its end too, imo.
