Can we talk about the homeowner in Fresno who supervised me from a lawn chair?
Showed up to patch a ceiling last month and this guy named Ray parked himself in a folding chair with a lemonade and started grading me out loud. Every time I climbed the ladder he'd say something like "sure hope that's level" or "my brother in law does it different." At one point he handed me a level I didn't ask for and said it was his dad's from 1974. What's the strangest thing a client has handed you mid-job?
Man, is a guy in a lawn chair with lemonade really the strangest thing? That just sounds like a bored retiree who wants to feel involved, not some weirdo handing you a live snake. The level from 1974 is kind of funny, but it's still just a level, so I'm not seeing the horror story here. Did he actually mess up your work, or was he just annoying to have around?
