Hit $10k in a single month for the first time and almost cried
I've been doing drywall work on the side for about two years now. Just last month I landed a big commercial job down in Austin and plus a few smaller residential patches and somehow cracked $10,200 all in one month. It felt huge because I was barely scraping $3k a month when I started. Has anyone else had a surprise milestone that caught them off guard?

Did your buddy have to drop everything and run that commercial job in Austin too? A friend of mine pulls drywall and he hit almost a similar number last fall on a big church renovation. He said the money was sick but his body was wrecked for a solid week after.

Man that is HUGE! It MUST feel amazing to see all that hard work finally pay off like that.

Pretty sure that's not quite how it works.

Oh, I'm not so sure about that. You can definitely hit those numbers if you're fast and the job is straight cash, no middleman cutting in. But your buddy's body wrecked comment is key - that kind of pay usually comes with a steep physical price tag.
