Hit $62,000 in one month on my own and now I can't decide if I should hire or just keep grinding
I went out on my own 14 months ago here in Kansas City and for the first year I was doing maybe 8 to 10 grand a month. Last month I closed $62,000 between a kitchen remodel in Overland Park and two bathroom jobs, and it honestly scared me more than it excited me. I'm 38 and I've never had numbers like that, so now I'm stuck between staying solo and keeping every dollar or bringing on a guy and giving up 25 an hour plus the headaches. Part of me says hire now while the work is flowing, the other part says one bad month and I'm paying someone to stand around. What would you do, take the risk or ride it out solo?
