I finally quit nailing subfloor with my 16oz and bought a $22 palm nailer after a framer laughed at me
Was framing a 24x32 garage in Tacoma last spring and had to toe-nail 3/4 tongue and groove down by hand because the nailer wouldn't fit in the corners. The lead guy watched me swing about 40 nails and asked why I was making it so hard on myself, then handed me his palm nailer and said "you're gonna blow out the edge swinging wild like that." He was right, I split two boards that afternoon and had to pull them up. Bought my own the next day for $22 and haven't swung a hammer on subfloor since. Am I late to this or do some of you still hand nail edges on purpose?

Ugh, I have been there. When my mom wanted a custom frame for a dumb inside joke photo, I just went along with it and acted like it belonged in a museum. The framer played right along too and it honestly made the whole thing way more fun.
