Spent 4 hours looking for a pipe leak that turned out to be a loose toilet flange

The water stain under the bathroom sink had me chasing supply lines and drain fittings all afternoon. My helper finally noticed the toilet wobbling and sure enough the wax ring had failed, not a single pipe was leaking.

Lol classic, a dye tab in the tank saved me that exact headache.

Read a plumber say those dye tabs can stain old toilets too so fair warning.

@morganl71 the dye tab trick works great, but you gotta make sure the leak is actually in the bowl/tank first. A loose flange can dump water straight onto the floor without any dye showing up in the bowl lol. Ask me how I know.
