That sparky's tip about wire pulling lube actually saved my back

An old electrician in Boise told me to use cable lube on every pull over 50 feet, even for small gauge stuff, and I laughed it off last spring. Finally tried it on a 120 foot run in a crawlspace and the whole job took maybe 40 minutes less than usual, plus my shoulder didn't scream for two days. Anyone else have a trick they ignored for way too long?

I read somewhere that a lot of guys skip the lube on smaller wire because they think it's only for the big stuff, but friction is friction no matter the size. That 40 minutes you got back is basically a free coffee break plus a slice of your shoulder's lifespan. Once you realize it's just cheap insurance against wear and tear on your body, there's no going back.
