Nine platforms across four trades honestly doesn't shock me. When you're running a crew you buy what's on sale or what the last guy already had batteries for, and half the time the tool guy at the supply house talks you into whatever he's pushing that month. The dream of one battery to rule them all has been around for years and it still hasn't happened because every brand wants you locked into their stuff. I get why guys just grab whatever works that day instead of waiting around for some perfect system that never comes.
