Warning: that perfect week in July almost wrecked my whole summer
I had five jobs line up perfectly in one week back in July, thought I was killing it, but I took on too much and cracked a foundation wall on the third one because I rushed the prep. Has anyone else had a killer week that turned into a nightmare because you just couldn't say no?

Sounds like you bit off way more than you could chew and choked on the crumbs.

The real issue here might be that @rowan_ross had way too much on their plate long before they even started. In my experience, people who choke on something usually didn't have the right support or resources to begin with. Maybe they were told it would be manageable and trusted the wrong advice. Just a different way of looking at it, your mileage may vary.

My cousin tried to start a food truck last summer with nothing but a dream and a borrowed fryer... within two weeks he'd burned through his budget on parking tickets and spoiled lettuce. He kept saying the permits were "mostly handled" but it turned out he'd only filled out half the forms. I watched him stand there in the rain one Tuesday night with like three customers total, just staring at a cooler of melted ice cream. Sometimes people really think they can wing it and the universe will catch up... but the universe doesn't care about your food truck dreams.

Genuinely curious here, what exactly did you predict was going to happen when you took that on? Did you think it was going to be EASY or were you just hoping nobody would notice until it was too late? Pretty sure we've all been there, but owning up to it instead of deflecting would save a lot of grief.
