Blew $300 on a cheap tile saw that couldn't cut straight

I bought this no-name tile saw off Amazon for like $300 thinking I was saving money. First big job with 12x24 porcelain tiles and every cut was off by an eighth of an inch, totally ruined my layout. Anyone else get burned by a bargain tool that just couldn't handle real work?

Twenty-two cuts in a row off by a sixteenth before I caught it. I was the same way, always figured spending less on tools was just being smart with money. That saw sits in the corner of my garage now, I use it for cutting down cedar fence pickets where a little wiggle room is fine. Learned the hard way that time spent redoing bad cuts costs way more than the price difference upfront.

My buddy Mike bought a cheap miter saw from a big box store and spent three weekends building a deck. Every board he cut was just a hair off and by the time he realized it, the whole thing had a wobble to it. He ended up tearing half of it apart and buying a better saw, said the extra money would've been cheaper than his time and frustration.
