Found a $15 laser level at a garage sale in Dayton, used it all week
I was picking up a used miter saw off Craigslist and the seller had a little laser level sitting on a table. He let me test it on his wall and the line was dead straight, so I handed over a fifteen and took it home. I used it every day this week for cabinet installs and baseboard work, and honestly it's been more reliable than my $80 one. Anyone else found a bargain tool that just won't quit on them?

Man, that's the kind of find that makes garage sales worth the early mornings! I've got a similar story with a beat-up old chalk line I grabbed for five bucks, thing still snaps a perfect line after ten years of abuse. Sometimes the cheap stuff just hits different, you know? Especially when it's something you didn't plan to buy, makes it feel like a win even before it proves itself. Half the time those budget tools end up being the ones you reach for the most anyway, just because they're reliable and you're not scared to scuff them up.
