Question about those cheap laser levels from online marketplaces
Honestly, I grabbed a $40 laser level off one of those big online stores for a kitchen tile job last month. Ngl, it seemed fine at first, but after about three hours of use, the self-leveling just stopped working right. I had to redo a whole section of tile because my lines were off by almost a quarter inch. Tbh, it cost me a full day of labor, so I'm out probably $400 in lost time. Has anyone found a decent budget laser that actually holds up, or is it just worth paying for the name brand right away?

Well, the cheap ones are basically disposable tools.

Just buy the name brand next time.

I used to buy generic everything until I tried the real Heinz ketchup last year. Totally changed my mind lol.

Yeah but the thing is, what even counts as "name brand" anymore? Like I bought a pack of those cheap white t-shirts from some random Amazon brand, and they were literally the same cut and same fabric as the Hanes ones I used to buy. Just without the tag and for half the price. So sometimes you're just paying for the label and the fancy packaging, not actually getting anything better. The real trick is figuring out which products actually matter to have name brand on, and which ones are just fancy marketing.
