Switched from a regular caulk gun to a powered one for trim work and cut my time in half
I was skeptical about spending $60 on a Milwaukee M12 caulk gun, but after finishing a 3 bedroom house in Council Bluffs last week I'm a believer. The steady bead means way less smoothing and I used about a third less caulk since I'm not laying it on too thick to compensate. Got through the whole place in 6 hours instead of the usual 10. Anyone else using powered guns for finish work or do you all still run manual ones?
Oh sure, and next you'll tell me it also does your taxes and makes the coffee. I've been eyeballing that same M12 for months while my wrist slowly turns to dust cranking the manual one on every baseboard in the house. My father-in-law would call it cheating, but he also still uses a handsaw for everything, so take that for what it's worth. Six hours versus ten is no joke though, that's a full day back in your pocket. I might finally have to eat my words and grab one.
