The big debate: cordless hammer drill vs. corded one for framing
I've been going back and forth on whether to grab a cordless hammer drill for my deck project this spring or stick with my old corded one. The lack of extension cords is tempting but I worry about battery dying mid-afternoon on a 60-foot run. What did you all pick and how'd it work out?

Not really seeing the big dilemma here unless you're framing houses solo. Grab a couple spare batteries and you'll be fine for a deck, that cord will just piss you off every time you have to move the ladder.

You ever seen a guy have to stop framing halfway through because his battery died and he left his spare in the truck? My buddy Ryan (@hunt.hayden is spot on about having spares) learned that one the hard way on his own deck. He went cordless thinking it would be cleaner, no mess. Then he spent a good 20 minutes walking back and forth while the sun started going down. I watched him use a drywall screw to finish one last joist hanger just so he could call it a day. Could have been avoided with a cheap extension cord and his old corded drill that never quits.
