Got a $900 licensing fee after a client kept my logo on their site for 5 months past the contract
A client of mine had a contract for logo work that said usage rights ended in January. I checked their site in March and my logo was still up on their header. I sent a polite email with the contract screenshot and said the license was expired. They paid $900 within 3 days to keep using it, which was way more than the original project paid. Now I set a calendar reminder 2 weeks before every license ends. Anyone else do license checks on old clients, or is that overkill?
