Had a client file a false copyright claim on me last week
I did a logo design for a small bakery in Austin back in March. They paid me $300 and I thought everything was fine. Then last week they filed a takedown on my portfolio showing the work, claiming I never had rights to display it. Took me 3 days and a dozen emails to get it reversed. Has anyone else had a former client pull something like this after you already finished the job?

Buddy of mine had a client try to DCMA his own website after he finished a branding package for them. Said they wanted to "protect their exclusive look" even though they paid him to make it. Took him a full week of lawyer letters to get it sorted out.

Dude, "3 days and a dozen emails" is brutal. I had something similar happen with a client who claimed I "stole" their brand colors lmao. Like, you literally hired me to pick these colors, my guy. Some people just get weird after the fact and try to mess with your rep. It's wild how fast they forget the work you did for them.
