Serious question, I told a client to stop using my photos and they paid me 3 days later in full
For two years I told people on here that a polite takedown note never works and you need a lawyer in Boston on retainer for $400 an hour. Then a bridal boutique in Providence kept running my shoot photos on Instagram after I asked twice, so I sent a third message with the DMCA form filled out and a screenshot of their ad spend. The owner called me within an hour and wired the $650 balance that same week. Now I send the form first instead of the friendly email, and I look like the guy who overreacted for two years. Has anyone had the form itself backfire on them?
