Vent: client watermark 'update' that took 6 months off my life

Had a regular client ask for a 'quick tweak' to their logo back in March. She said it would take ten minutes, so I did it free since she pays on time. Six weeks later she emails back saying the new version looks 'almost perfect' but the font weight needs adjusting. I check my files and the whole file structure is different, she's been editing it in Canva on her end. Now every request turns into a back and forth where I have to untangle her changes, and what should have been a 30 dollar job turned into 400 bucks of my time. The wild part is she thinks this is normal workflow. Anyone else have a client who quietly rebuilds your work in another tool and then expects you to just pick up the pieces? I'm one more 'can you just fix one thing' away from firing her, but the monthly retainer is hard to walk away from.

Oh man, that sounds exhausting. Canva edits are the absolute worst to fix.
