A bride's mom in Dallas taught me a quick fix for a broken hairpin last month.
We were thirty minutes from the ceremony and one of the decorative pins in her updo snapped clean in half. I grabbed a tiny bit of clear nail glue and a bobby pin to make a splint, which held perfectly through the whole event. Has anyone else had to improvise a hair tool repair under pressure?

Clever trick with the nail glue. I once used a paperclip and some hairspray in a pinch.

But like, was the comb even worth saving?

My cousin fixed a broken comb with superglue and a toothpick once.

Yeah, that's the kind of fix that feels so good to pull off. I get why @kelly_adams24's cousin did it, even if the comb wasn't fancy. There's a real satisfaction in making something whole again with whatever you have on hand. My old hairbrush handle snapped, and I used a bit of baking soda with super glue to fill the crack. It's still holding up years later.
